The Light Family Remembers Jerome Benjamin

A WHOLE SOLDIER WORDS BY RAYMOND TYLER

I can't tell you exactly where I met Jerome Benjamin. However, I can tell you that I can remember the times he dug into his pockets to help me with community projects like The Holiday Toy Drive and The Back To School Parties.

I remember he was always working to help The Light behind the scenes.

I remember he would come to a mixer and bring his people and have a good time.

I remember that whoever he didn't know when he walked in the room, he would know and have shook hands with them before he left.

I remember the tears that would well up in his eyes when ever I asked him to discuss his late mother and the charity in her name called Betty's Way.

Jerome Benjamin was a friend and family. He adopted everyone and everyone adopted him.

BIG ROME as we called him...served his country... he was a VET.

Even after his time in the armed services was over...he continued to fight for peace, love and happiness through giving and friendships.

His community organization Betty's Way raised thousands to fight cancer with events in Atlantic and Cumberland County.

No one person can take his place...in fact...there's a whole in our media family that will never be replaced.

We love you BIG ROME and all the month of February we are going to remember you on the air, at our events and websites.

GOD BLESS TILL WE MEET AGAIN!
